Is there a way [I just can't find] to adjust the volume of the message alert in the K510a. [These days a rather basic phone.]
I want to increase the volume of the message alert if I can.

SE customer service [in telephone discussion] says NOT possible to adjust message alert volume. [There is no reference in the manual to adjusting this volume.]

On the menu page that allows me to select the sound of the alert, when I push play to hear the sound, occasionally a small volume bar [a line of circles, of which one is to be selected] pops up on the top of the page, then rapidly disappears. There's no obvious way to adjust the volume and it's not clear if the toggle is what you're supposed to use, but the toggle seems to have no effect, most of the time. The volume bar disappears before the toggle bar can be moved and once in a while it seems the volume may have been affected by the toggle bar the next time it shows up, but not most times.

In addition when the volume bar does show, frequently the volume has changed from the last appearance, sometimes at 0 volume, or 1 volume or 2 volume. And the volume on pushing play actually has correspondingly changed. [It never went above 2 volume.]

The SE rep may be correct, but the occasional appearance of the volume bar makes me wonder if he's mistaken.

If any one out there can help either by confirming the meaasge alert volume can not be adjusted, or telling me how to adjust the volume,thank you for your time.
