Setting Up Mobile Hotspot over Wi-Fi:
- While on the home screen, tap the "Applications" icon
- Browse through your apps drawer and open up "Settings"
- Tap "More" under "Wireless & Networks"
- Tap "Tethering and Mobile HotSpot"
- Mark the "Mobile HotSpot" checkbox
- Press "OK"
- Tap "Mobile HotSpot settings"
- Touch "Configure Mobile HotSpot"
- Edit the following settings as you see fit: "Network SSID", "Security", "Password"
- Press "Save"
- Tap "Power save"
- Select one of the following: "After 5 minutes of inactivity", "After 10 minutes of inactivity" or "Never"
Enabling / Disabling Mobile Hotspot:
- Tap the "Applications" icon located on the home screen
- Open "Settings"
- Press "More" under "Wireless & Networks"
- Tap "Tethering and Mobile HotSpot"
- Mark or unmark the "Mobile HotSpot" checkbox to enable or disable the feature
- Tap "OK"
Tethering Via USB:
Tethering allows you to share your mobile data connection with your computer. Keep in mind that depending on your contract, tethering may result in extra charges.
- Connect your smartphone to your PC via the USB cable that came with your smartphone
- Press the "Applications" icon on the home screen
- Go to "Settings"
- Under "Wireless & Network", press "More"
- Tap "Tethering and Mobile Hotspot" and then mark the checkbox associated with "Tethering"
- Press "OK" to confirm
