Barring Calls:

NOTE: You can bar all, or only certain certain categories of outgoing or incoming calls, using the phone's default features. Keep in mind that when you use the call barring function for the first time, you will be required to enter your PUK, and a new password in order to activate the feature. To bar incoming / outgoing calls:

  1. Tap the "Apps" icon located on the home screen
  2. Open "Settings"
  3. Tap "Call settings" > "Select SIM card"
  4. Choose a SIM card and tap "Call barring"
  5. Select an option and then enter your password
  6. Tap "Enable"

Blocking Calls Using Third Party Apps:

While the Xperia C doesn't offer a lot of options in terms of call blocking, you can install various applications such as "Call Blocker", "Call Blacklist" or "Call Control", in order to expand the range of blocking options. These apps (and similar) offer the ability to block messages, view call logs, password protect the app, get notifications and more.

Call Forwarding

Forwarding All Calls (Unconditional Forwarding:

  1. Tap the "Applications" icon while on the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Under "Device", tap "Call settings"
  4. Tap "Call forwarding" >"Always forward"
  5. Type in the phone number to forward the calls to. Alternatively, you can tap "Contacts" and select to forward all calls to an existing contact
  6. Tap "Enable"

Forwarding Some Calls Only (Conditional Forwarding):

  1. While viewing the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Under "Device", tap "Call settings"
  4. Scroll to and tap "Call forwarding"
  5. Select "Forward when busy", "Forward when unanswered" or "Forward when unreachable"
  6. If necessary, type in the phone number that you want to forward the calls to, or select a contact by tapping the "Contacts" icon
  7. When ready, tap "Enable"

Cancel Call Forwarding:

  1. From the "Applications" menu, tap "Settings"
  2. Scroll to "Device" and tap "Call settings"
  3. Tap "Call forwarding" > "Always forward"
  4. Tap "Disable"

Cal Log and DTMF

Viewing the Call Log:

  1. To view your call log, press the "Phone" icon while on a home screen
  2. Tap the "Arrow" associated with the call entry that you want to view detail information about
  3. You can view additional call details under "Duration"

Resetting the Call Log:

  1. Tap the "Phone" icon from the home screen
  2. Press the "Menu" icon located in the lower-right corner of the screen
  3. Tap "Clear call log"

Enabling / Disabling Touch Tones When Dialing (DTMF):

  1. Open the "Applications" menu and launch "Settings"
  2. Scroll to "Device" and tap "Call settings"
  3. Mark or clear the check box associated with "Dial pad touch tones" to enable or disable DTMF
