Formatting the SD Card:
WARNING! Formatting the SD card will result in loss of personal data stored on the card. If required and / or necessary, create backups before formatting.
- While viewing the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
- Go to "Settings"
- Scroll to "Device" and tap "Storage"
- Tap "Erase SD card" under "SD card"
- Tap "Erase SD card" again for confirmation
Open or Deleting Files on the SD Card Using the Phone:
- From the home screen, tap the "Applications" icon
- Tap "File Commander"
- Tap "Register later" to skip this step, when prompted. (Optionally, you can tap "Register now" and follow the on-screen prompts, but this is not a necessity)
- Select the folder for the memory card
- To open a file, navigate to it and tap to open it
- To delete files:
- Navigate to where your files are located
- Tap and hold a file
- Tap "Delete"
- Press "OK" to confirm
Opening or Deleting Files from the SD Card Using a Computer:
- Establish an USB connection between your smartphone and computer
- In the AutoPlay window appearing on the computer, click to browse files
- Navigate to and open the SD card directory on your smartphone
- Locate the desired files, and double click to open them
- To delete the files, right click them and select "Delete"
- When ready, safely disconnect your smartphone by clicking the "Mass Storage Device" icon in the system tray
Viewing the Amount of Free SD Card Space:
- From the home screen, tap the "Applications" icon
- Tap "Settings"
- Under "Device", tap "Storage"
- You can see the available memory value under "SD CARD"
Setting the Default Memory Storage:
NOTE: by default, the smartphone stores most data on the internal storage. To set the default storage to the SD card, perform the following:
- Tap the "Camera" icon while viewing the home screen
- Tap "Settings"
- Scroll to and select "Data storage"
- Tap "SD Card"
Transferring Files Between Internal Storage and SD Card:
- Tap the "Applications" icon located on the home screen
- Tap "File Commander"
- Navigate to the desired file(s)
- Mark the check boxes associated with the files that you wish to transfer
- Tap "Copy"
- Navigate to where you wish to transfer the files
- Tap "Edit" > "Paste"
Transferring Files Between Computer and SD Card:
- Use the USB cable to connect your T2 Ultra to the computer
- In the AutoPlay window, select to browse the phone's files and folders
- Navigate to the desired files / folders stored on the SD card
- Copy the desired files, and navigate to where you wish to transfer the files on the computer
- Once the transfer is done, click "Safely Remove Hardware" from the system tray
- Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" > "OK"
- You can now disconnect your smartphone
