Formatting the SD Card:

WARNING! Formatting the SD card will result in loss of personal data stored on the card. If required and / or necessary, create backups before formatting.

  1. While viewing the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Scroll to "Device" and tap "Storage"
  4. Tap "Erase SD card" under "SD card"
  5. Tap "Erase SD card" again for confirmation

Open or Deleting Files on the SD Card Using the Phone:

  1. From the home screen, tap the "Applications" icon
  2. Tap "File Commander"
  3. Tap "Register later" to skip this step, when prompted. (Optionally, you can tap "Register now" and follow the on-screen prompts, but this is not a necessity)
  4. Select the folder for the memory card
    • To open a file, navigate to it and tap to open it
    • To delete files:

    1. Navigate to where your files are located
    2. Tap and hold a file
    3. Tap "Delete"
    4. Press "OK" to confirm

Opening or Deleting Files from the SD Card Using a Computer:

  1. Establish an USB connection between your smartphone and computer
  2. In the AutoPlay window appearing on the computer, click to browse files
  3. Navigate to and open the SD card directory on your smartphone
  4. Locate the desired files, and double click to open them
  5. To delete the files, right click them and select "Delete"
  6. When ready, safely disconnect your smartphone by clicking the "Mass Storage Device" icon in the system tray

Viewing the Amount of Free SD Card Space:

  1. From the home screen, tap the "Applications" icon
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Under "Device", tap "Storage"
  4. You can see the available memory value under "SD CARD"

Setting the Default Memory Storage:

NOTE: by default, the smartphone stores most data on the internal storage. To set the default storage to the SD card, perform the following:

  1. Tap the "Camera" icon while viewing the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Scroll to and select "Data storage"
  4. Tap "SD Card"

Transferring Files Between Internal Storage and SD Card:

  1. Tap the "Applications" icon located on the home screen
  2. Tap "File Commander"
  3. Navigate to the desired file(s)
  4. Mark the check boxes associated with the files that you wish to transfer
  5. Tap "Copy"
  6. Navigate to where you wish to transfer the files
  7. Tap "Edit" > "Paste"

Transferring Files Between Computer and SD Card:

  1. Use the USB cable to connect your T2 Ultra to the computer
  2. In the AutoPlay window, select to browse the phone's files and folders
  3. Navigate to the desired files / folders stored on the SD card
  4. Copy the desired files, and navigate to where you wish to transfer the files on the computer
  5. Once the transfer is done, click "Safely Remove Hardware" from the system tray
  6. Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" > "OK"
  7. You can now disconnect your smartphone
