    Enabling and Managing STAMINA and Low Battery Mode:

    1. While on the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Scroll to "Device" and tap "Power Management"
    4. Perform one or more of the following sets of steps:
      • To enable and edit STAMINA mode:
        1. Tap "STAMINA mode"
        2. Tap the feature's switch and set it to "ON"
        3. Tap "Activation" and determine the level of battery at which STAMINA mode enables automatically
        4. Tap "OK"
        5. Optionally, add or remove applications from the "Apps Active in Standby" list
      • To enable and edit Low Battery Mode:
        1. Tap "Low battery mode" and set the feature's switch to "ON"
        2. Edit the "Screen brightness" and "Screen timeout" settings as desired
        3. Clear or mark the check boxes next to "GPS off", "Auto-sync off" and any other features that you would like to be enabled or disabled during Low power mode

    Adjusting the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Tap the "Applications" icon while viewing the home screen
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Under "Device", tap "Display"
    4. Tap "Brightness"
    5. Clear the check box next to "Adapt to lighting conditions" if necessary
    6. Drag the "Brightness" slider to the left in order to decrease the screen's brightness
    7. Tap "OK" to confirm
    8. Tap "Sleep" and select a lower timeout duration for the display, such as "15 seconds"

    Disabling Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Hotspot:

    NOTE: more often than not, when a smartphone's battery performance becomes a problem, the main issue is that the device's connectivity features have been misused. It's always recommended that you disable all connectivity features when not in use, in order to prevent the smartphone from consuming battery without a real need for it. To disable Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth and GPS:

    1. Swipe the "Notification" bar down while on the home screen
    2. Tap the icons next to "Wi-Fi", "Bluetooth" and "Location" (GPS) in order to disable these features
    3. Tap the "Settings" icon located in the top-right corner
    4. Tap "More" under "Wireless & Networks"
    5. Select "Tethering and Mobile HotSpot"
    6. Clear the check box next to "Mobile HotSpot" in order to disable this feature

    Minimizing Auto-Sync for Applications:

    1. Tap the "Applications" icon while on the home screen
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Under "Accounts", select the desired type of account that you need to edit
    4. Select your account name if necessary
    5. Clear the check boxes associated with the desired apps / features, in order to reduce automatic sync and increase battery life on the long run

    Disabling Background Data:

    1. Go to the phone's "Settings" menu
    2. Under "Wireless & Network", select "Data usage"
    3. Tap the "Menu" icon located in the top-right area of the screen
    4. Mark the "Restrict Background Data" check box

    Minimizing the Use of Third Party Applications:

    NOTE: although you might not use certain third party apps, some applications can still affect your phone's battery performance even when they are not in use. This is due to the fact that some applications run processes in the background. As such, it's highly recommended that you disable or uninstall applications that you don't really use. To do so:

    1. Launch the apps drawer
    2. Go to "Settings"
    3. Under "Device", tap "Apps"
    4. Swipe to the "Downloaded" screen
    5. Select an application and choose to "Disable" or "Uninstall" it
    6. Tap "OK" to confirm

    Switching from 4G Connectivity to WCDMA:

    1. Access the phone's "Settings" menu and tap "More" under "Wireless & Networks"
    2. Tap "Mobile networks"
    3. Tap "Network mode"
    4. Select "WCMDA"

    Updating to the Latest Available Software Version:

    NOTE: Smartphone manufacturers and carriers are oftentimes launching new software updates that include various improvements to your phone's battery performance. As such, it's highly recommended that you keep your phone up to date.

    Keep in mind that following the steps below while no new update is available will have no effect on your phone's battery life.

    1. Tap the "Apps" icon while on the home screen
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Scroll to "System" and tap "About phone"
    4. Tap "Software update"
    5. If a new software update is available, follow the on-screen prompts to download and apply it
