Via iTunes:

NOTE: If you have iTunes installed on your computer you can use it to sync your iPhone contacts with a Google account. Then you can add the account on the Sony device and re-sync the contacts with the phone. This method requires a computer with iTunes and Internet access

  1. Launch iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  3. Once connected, click the iPhone to view the summary page
  4. Access the "Info" tab and mark the check box next to "Sync Contacts With"
  5. Select "Google Contacts" from the drop-down menu
  6. Enter your Google account's login details or click "Configure" and select an existing account from the list
  7. Click "Apply" to start syncing the contacts
  8. Switch to the Xperia Z3+ and register the same Google account used in iTunes. Make sure you allow it to sync contacts with your phone

Using iCloud:

NOTE: Assuming you have already used the iCloud backup service on the iPhone before then your contacts should be backed up onto your iCloud account. You can access the account on a computer with Internet, and export the contacts as a VCF file

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Click "Contacts" and select the ones you want to export
  5. Click the "Settings" icon > "Export vCard"
  6. After the vCard file has been downloaded on your computer, import it to "Google Contacts". Alternatively:
  7. Connect the Xperia Z3+ to your computer via USB and transfer the VCF file to the phone's SD storage. Next, open "Contacts", press "Menu" > "Import contacts" > "SD card"

Using "My Contacts Backup":

NOTE: The following two methods of transfer do not require access to a computer. Instead they use third party applications to transfer contacts from one phone to the other. My Contacts Backup is an app for iOS that can be used to back up and transfer your contacts to an Android device, or otherwise.

  1. Launch the App Store and install "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone
  2. Open the application and tap "Backup"
  3. After the backup file is done, tap "Email" to attach it to a new email
  4. Send the email to your own Gmail address
  5. On the Xperia Z3+, open the email and download the attached vCard file
  6. Import the file's contents by opening "Contacts" and using the "Import" option from the menu

Using "Send Anywhere":

NOTE: Last but not least you can use "Send Anywhere" - another third party application for both iOS and Android that uses a P2P connection to transfer contacts and other types of files.

  1. Install "Send Anywhere" on the iPhone via the App Store
  2. From the Play Store, install the same app on the Sony smartphone
  3. Open the application on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap "Send"
  6. Finally, select a method of transfer. You can tap "Receive" on the Xperia Z3+ and enter the code generated on the iPhone, or you can tap "Generate QR Code" on the iPhone and scan it with the Xperia Z3+
