Sync iPhone Contacts with Google via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then, you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Sony device.

  1. Establish a USB connection between the iPhone and computer
  2. Launch iTunes on the computer
  3. In iTunes, access “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account, or alternatively, click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. After the sync is complete, register the same account on the Sony device and allow the account to sync contacts with your phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings
  4. Go to “Export vCard
  5. After the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of these steps:
    • Use the Internet browser on the PC and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Sony Xperia XA Ultra to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and import its contents using “Contacts

Via “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with access to the Internet, alternatively you can transfer iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is a third party app for iOS which can be used to back up and share contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup
  3. After the vCard is created, tap “Email
  4. Ensure the vCard is attached to the email and send it to your own address
  5. Switch to the Sony device and open the email
  6. Download the vCard attachment and use “Contacts” to import it

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party application (for Android and iOS) that can be used for contact transfer, cross-platform, without requiring a computer. (the app uses a peer-2-peer connection)

  1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Visit the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Sony device
  3. Launch the application on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send
  6. Lastly, choose a transfer method, and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
