Sync iPhone Contacts With Google Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Sony Xperia XZ

  1. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes on the computer
  3. Go to the “Info” section in iTunes and turn on “Sync Contacts With
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account, or alternatively click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. Once the sync is done, sign in with the same account on the Sony Xperia XZ and allow the account to sync contacts with your phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer with an active Internet connection and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer and visit https://www.icloud.com/
  2. Sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Select the contacts you want to share
  4. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard
  5. Once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of these steps:
    • Use the Internet browser on the computer to import the vCard to “Google Contacts”, or:
    • Connect the Sony device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and use “Contacts” to import it

Via “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can transfer your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email in vCard format.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the application and tap “Backup
  3. Once the vCard has been created, tap “Email
  4. Make sure the vCard is attached to the email and send it to your own address
  5. On the Sony device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another example of a third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app can transfer contacts and other file types, cross-platform through a peer-to-peer connection, without requiring a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the app on the Sony Xperia XZ
  3. Open the application on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
