I have a T-610, and I'm really happy with it, but the other day I went to turn it on and the screen stayed blue. The startup logo didn't come on and it didn't make any noise. It froze. I couldn't turn it off or anything. I thought I remembered reading that you aren't supposed to take the battery out to turn it off. So I let it sit for a couple minutes to see if anything would change. Nothing. So I finally called T-Mobile to see if they had any suggestions. They were very nice, but the customer service person didn't have any idea. He suggested a handset swap. Wouldn't you know it, my phone came back to life, and I haven't had a problem since. My question is: Has this happened to anyone else? and Does anyone know what caused this?
Thanks.

A similar thing happened with my t616, the first day i bought it. I locked the keys and when i came to use it later i couldnt unlock the keys, nothing worked, it wouldnt turn off, being an impatient person, i took out the battery turned it back on and still no response, i then took the battery out again, waited a minute, turned it on and its been working fine since (few days now). Dunno, happens i guess just like PC's.

i have finally learned that phone freezing is from something really simple. Phone batteries don't like to be charged in the car, only in the house... therefore, everytime you charge it in the car and then bring it in and charge it in the home, it will freeze at some point in time... don't take my word for it, try it...

Yeah, mine's frozen after dying in Deep Abyss. That happened yesterday. I was able to get out of it by pressing the off button.
It also froze on another occasion. But i don't remeber what happened. It was a pretty hard freeze and I had to remove the battery.

It happened a couple of times. It mostly happens when I play around with sounds, but ok, I still have the first firmware.

Hmmm... I haven't heard of the car charging thing - I don't charge mine in the car ever, but I've had mine lock up a few times. I know certain java apps can cause a lockup though, but I've had it happen just at the home screen.
