Shaq makes everyone look better than they really are, when he leaves they get exposed as fakes.
Penny-Shaq=shell of his former self (mostly injuries mind you)
Kobe-Shaq=No playoffs, lower stats, LOTTO, humbled
Wade-Shaq=time will tell, I say he'll end up like Penny with injuries. | | |

Devean George and Vlade Divac missed almost the entire season due to injury. The Lakers aren't anything close to the Lakers of last year. They had 4 new starters. Kobe Bryant, Brian Cook, Luke Walton, Devean George (who's only played a handful of games all year), Kareem Rush (who was traded to the Bobcats) and Slava Medvedenko are the only returning players. And aside from Kobe, only one of those returning players is getting a significant amount of playing time.
You can't put the blame all on Kobe's shoulders. They have had quite a few injuries this year: Devean George and Vlade Divac missed pretty much the entire season, Kobe missed a handful of games and now Lamar Odom is hurt.
There were some bright spots to the season. With a good draft and some offseason moves, the Lakers will be in the playoffs next season.

He averaged 6 assists per game. That isn't too bad from your shooting guard.
