I've read a bunch of posts and the sprint website inside and out and I'm still trying to make sure there is a plan that has completely no roaming nationwide with Sprint. Sometimes I see indications of no roaming nationwide but it turns out to be something like Verizon's America's Choice plan where you can still incur roaming charges if you call on a non-partner carrier's tower. Is this the case with all of the Sprint plans, too?
If there is a plan that is totally no roaming in the continental US, how is the reception in rural areas? I'm often in rural parts of Minnesota, in particular, and Verizon is pretty good in those cases. However, Verizon doesn't work at my workplace (about the only place it doesn't) and I'd prefer to get something that does if it isn't going to cost me a ton of roaming charges.
I sincerely appreciate any and every response to this. These year-long contracts aren't something you want to enter into without knowing the full details. I would have considered a switch 10 months ago if it wasn't for a huge cancellation fee. I hope not to switch to a Sprint plan and find out there is poor reception in rural areas and/or roaming charges.
Thanks again.

Sprint has a 5 dollar add on to nationwide plans were you can use up to half of your minutes in roaming without any additional charges....I know I from the city but my phones is always on sprint only and I very rarely go out of service
If you want a Great Sprint phone go get yourself a SANYO 5600...The hotness!!!

If you are from a Sprint affiliate area, some affiliate plans only allow 50 or 100 minutes per month roaming and then you pay roaming charges. These affiliate roaming plans are also usually $5 a month but occasionally $10 a month; and you get a lot less than if you were from a Sprint area.
