I have T-Mobile and I really like it but I have heard really good things about Sprint. Is Sprint good? Does it have good service? Is T-Mobile a PCS network? My step-mom has a Sprint and hers operates on a 1900mhz i think and on my fone, I have the option to run at this frequency.

Sprint is pretty good. Coverage is not as big as T-Mobile (because you get free roaming with T-Mobile) but it is not bad. T-Mobile is GSM; Sprint is PCS (CDMA). You wouldn't be able to use your t-mobile phone on sprint. You would need a whole new phone. What I would do, is get a sprint Prepaid phone. You can get one thru one at www.ralix.com with free nights & weekends. Then just see how you like sprints service. If it sucks, then you haven't lost anything (no contracts) so you can just sell the phone to a friend or on ebay very easily. And if you like sprints service, you can just keep your new ralix phone, or sell it and port your number from tmobile to sprint and get a new sprint contract phone.

i have found that sprint has much better coverage in my area than t-mobile. t-mobile cannot even roam inside my house. i also like sprint's phone selection much more than t-mobiles.
but i think t-mobiles plans are better than sprints. and their customer service is MUCH better. i found a t-mobile phone abandoned in front of my house, so i called their customer service to have it traced to the owner. although they couldnt trace it, the rep was VERY helpful and VERY nice. she even chit-chatted with me while we waited for the information to come up. if i had called sprint customer service, i'd be lucky if i even got a rep that spoke english.

I have really good service...I never have dropped calls...Every 1 I know that has T- Mobile hates it. the only good thing about them is that they have good plans...The only negative I have so far is that sprint has messed up on my bill before...and as far as roaming if u get a free and clear plan roaming is free..

the free & clear plans do not have free roaming, but the fair & flexible plans do.

sprint is nice. but if you are not carefull they will tax you something serious!...lol
i argue with them damn near monthly about "mistakes" on my bill. but as long as they keep messing up, long as i keep checking them and getting free credit towards my next bill.

I would say choose sprint. since the merger, there are alot of cool things available, like mobile to mobile (you can call any sprint pcs phone, nextel phone, or boost phone without using your minutes), there are alot of plans available that will help you avoid overages (if you have a problem going over you minutes there's the fair and flexable or the free incomming plan) unlimited web access, picture mail where you can load your pictures to a sprint website and you can order prints online and once you upload the picture to the site you can put them back on your phone... i personally prefer sprint. and plus there is a really kick a$$ phone, samsung mma800. it has awesome graphics and when you flip the phone over, its a 2 megapixel camera. damn, i want that phone.

I have Cingular and was thinking of switching to TMO. But then I saw Sprint's streaming audio and video (Sirius, TV etc) and that Samsung A880.
I hesitate to switch as I've heard that Sprint's system does not have as much coverage as Cingular. I had a Sprint phone about 3 years ago and I thought the coverage was pretty good, esp with analog and digital (analog in places where no one else with only digital service could get connected).
Cingular's plans cost quite a bit, TMO is less expensive but less extensive as well. Sprint I'm not sure about.
