when calling the voicemail from your phone are you wasting minutes? also can you go to your voicemail without using your cellphone? please help

you can check your messages from a land line phone.

depending on your service provider you call your cell phone number when voice message picks up just press the * star key and then enter your password, with some carriers you press the # pound key.
