As many of you know, the Sprint website advertises the PPC 6700 as including Picture Mail and Video Mail. I emailed Sprint eCare regarding this, and after first stating that the PPC 6700 doesn't include these features, they responded that the PPC 6700 DOES include these features but I needed to call in to understand how to use them. After waiting on hold for quite some time, I finally reached an advanced technical support representative who was trained in providing support for the PPC 6700. She specifically stated that the PPC 6700 DOES NOT support Picture Mail, Video Mail, MMS, or Sprint TV and there were NO plans for any upgrades to allow the PPC 6700 to support this functionality. From my online research, it seems a lot of people are under the impression that there will be an upgrade coming out sooner or later that will allow the PPC 6700 to support at least some of this functionality (Picture Mail / Video Mail / MMS). She said this was a Microsoft decision and any concerns should be addressed to Microsoft, but she had no contact information for them.
I'm not sure whether this is a decision by Microsoft, Sprint, or both of them, but I thought I would make everyone aware that as far as Sprint seems to be concerned, there will be no update to allow the PPC 6700 to use Picture Mail or Video Mail...
