can i buy a sprint phone and keep my current plan

i want to upgrade from a nextel i730 to a sprint mm-a900 but i want ot no if i can keep my current plan or get a new one with sprint but do i have to pay the 200 dollar cancellation and pick up a new one with sprint because they are the same company

well since sprint and nextel have merged, they are still 2 diffrent companys. its hard to explain, yes u would infact have to cancel. basically.. picture it as though they are still seperate companys, u would follow the same procedure.. pay the etf and go with sprint... get me?

MERGER! If your with nextel, you can go to sprint without your early termination fee. Your plan will however change to a sprint plan, (* I suggest the fair and flex). But there are no early termination fees, and you will have to sign a new contract, you can go back to nextel whenever... same rules apply.

Xine.. that is incorrect. My mother had NEXTEL and switched to SPRINT and she DID infact get charged 200 dollars to terminate, 3 weeks ago. She had 2 phones and didnt want to deal with 2 so canceled out the nextel, even with 1 month or so left on her contract, they still charged 200 bux. Xine, i suggest you look a bit further into a subject before handing out information that is invalid.

Also, you can go back to nextel whenever you want WITH early termination fees from sprints side..

This is coming from someone who had FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE about 3/weeks to a 1 months ago.
