I'm a nextel user that also wanted a Sprint line. I was looking between the Sprint Vision PPC-6700 or the Treo 650. Which phone is "better"? Please make sure you have or had either one of these before you post or say something smart! I want to buy the one that has the most features. I noticed the almost $150 price difference so what makes the PPC higher than the Treo! Thanks for your time

    Hey FC,
Thanks for your reply. I found that link really helpful. I do have one more addtional question. Does Sprint have a phone in production that is going to top this one or is this phone fairly new?

i must agree, the 6700 by FAR is BETTER! BUT.. its also a 600 dollar phone if you already have an account with sprint, for new users, theres a rebate.
ALSO, the sanyo 9000 is fairly new, i have it, its a mp3 player, expandable memory anmd SO much more... sanyo.com is the site to see the phone and on the right, ull see sanyo 9000.. check it out and let me know what u think of it. if u got any questions about it, i can answer them.. as for the 6700 i have only played around with it for a few minutes here in there in the store, so i dont know much, the only thing i know is, if i had 600 dollars to throw around, id buy it!! haha.. im a phone freak =)

I don't think either device is better than the other. I have a Treo 650 and I carried the 6700 for about a week as a demo phone when we first received them. The 6700 is harder to find accessories for (i.e. aftermarket cases, chargers, etc.) On the other hand, the 6700 has mobile windows, which I don't recommended for anyone that doesn't NEED it (why pay more for something you don't need?) Most of our customers are more satisfied with the Treo 650, it just seems to be easier to use.

After all that yapping, I still can't recommend one over the other. lol. Go with lowest price.

SANYO 9000 IS AWSOME! youll LOVE it! I have a sidekick AND sanyo 9000 and i LOVE both!! also, just so u know the sanyo 9000 is VERY high demand, i had to order mine and wait 3 days for it to come in, as no1 can keep them in stock. Call and check out a few stores before u go and get it. I hope you get it, trust me the 9000 is a phone u will NOT get sick of. It has ALL the features of picture mail etc.. PLUS, u get a lil buddy who runs across ur screen and does fun stuff for u, it actually makes me smile when i see him!!! =) hes so cute..theres an option to turn him off too. i can go ON and ON about this phone.. its wonderful. theres an expandable memory slot, it comes with a card, it comes with usb cable. u can have two diffrent wallpapers on each lcd, and the outter lcd has choices of diffrent clocks and styles!!! theres just endless things to do on this phone.. i paid 450.00 for it and would GLADLY do it again, i am HIGHLY picky about phones but this and the sk2 are DEFIANTEYL first choice to me and i would defiantely pay 400 EASILY for both, again... i <3 my phones!!!!!!! if u want to PM me with any qusetions, u can... =)

I really love all the features of the Sanyo 9000, I considered getting one myself for a while. I took the freebie phone when I signed up for Sprint because I'm holding out for that *perfect phone* to come along. Unfortunately for me, the 9000 doesn't have AMPS analog roaming, which might not be important to you at all, but for me it's a must when I travel through rural parts of Georgia to visit family, and it seems to me that AMPS penetrates deeper into large structures where digital service goes dead.

If the Sanyo MM-9000 had AMPS I would buy it right now. So my question to you is, how important is analog roam, do you ever go through rural areas where CDMA towers are few and far between?

Another question you asked was if they are coming out with a newer better phone, and a few days ago I saw our CPF newsbot post an interesting story about a Treo 700 coming soon... Look for that story >>>HERE<<<.

the 9000 has analog roaming, if im not mistaken. but for me, analog roaming isnt important at all, im in boston which is a huge city and i NEVER have dropped/failed calls, ever. with my nextel i was lucky if i DIDNT get dropped or failed calls, so im sure its just nextels service and not boston. brad, do you have any other questions on the 9000? i can answer ANYTHING on it, i am a sprint service/phone EXPERT lol.. the reps use to tell me that I should get a job there.. lol.. =) as for tmobile and such, im NEW or a "NEWB" lol... so i dont know all to much,,,,, YET!! gimme time... hehe.. but anyways, yeah, im almost positive it has analog roam, when i get on the train and we go undergrond it says across my screen in red "ANALOG ROAM" with the R in a red and white box...
