Wasn't sure if everyone had this information or not. This applies to more than just Sprint, but I get 15% off with Sprint for being active duty Air Force.

Where did you find this? I'm active duty also. My plan is about to expire and my phone is getting old.

that's right, they did tell me at the sprint store about the active-duty discount, you just need to call them up and tell them. and if your contract is about to expire, you can either keep your old plan contract-free if you like it or switch to a new contract that gives you more of what you want. i believe you can get a new phone, or at least get a credit toward your new phone for turning in your old one. i'd ask customer service before i made any decision, but it's worth looking into.

also if you can get some of your military buddies to sign up with sprint and list you as a referrer, sprint gives both you and your buddy a $25 credit on your bill.

It's a Telecommunications Act thing. I can dig it out but it was a mass info message passed down about 8 months ago.

I'm also a Best Buy employee on the side so I take that discount over the Military discount.

Oh btw, the discount is only on the plans, not the phone handsets themselves

Since this applies to more providers than Sprint, I've reposted here: http://www.cellphoneforums.net/showt...471#post989471
