Not gonna happen, sorry. Sprint phones don't use SIM cards and Sprint itself does not offer a pre-paid service. Virgin Mobile does offer a pre-paid service, and uses the Sprint network but offers no roaming coverage. So, if you're not in an area with Sprint coverage, you have no service.

Is prepaid really worth it? I suppose it how and what you use it for.

It just depends on how much you want to spend, who has good coverage in your areas, and how much you plan to use it. Hope this helps you figure it out

This has links and coverage maps. An excellent tool!
In gereral prepaid will offer less coverage then a national contract. Also, if you will be spending more than 300 minutes or $30 a month a true pay-as-you-go prepaid may not be the best option. But prepaid offers cell service for less then $1 per month, or full data access for as little as $6 a month.
