Re: Sprint Cc
Go to the sprintpcs website and you will find that the powervision phones are Digital Dual-Band phones and here is Sprints definition:
"Digital Dual-Band Phone
Utilizes two digital bands, allowing you to roam on other carriers' digital networks. Operates on 800 and 1900 MHz CDMA networks.
To see our coverage map, visit Personal Wireless, then go to: Plans & Coverage in the Shop Online Sprint PCS Store box > U.S. Coverage Map."
Sounds like only Digital networks to me???
the following are Powervision Phones
Samsung MM-A920, A900(Blade)
Sanyo MM-7500(no bluetooth)
the Smartphones are also powervision capable but also Digital Dual Band
Treo 650
sprint smart devise PPC-6700
To me it looks like you can still rome on analog networks but not with the Powervision phones. There are several Tri-Mode "Standard" Vision Phones like the Sanyo 8300 Samsung 8300 etc.
If we could get the rural areas upgraded to digital service an analog phone would be unnecessary but like HDTV the business world has not seen it fit to change completly.

Re: Sprint Cc
Just signed up with sprint for two more years. Got another rep that really worked me a great deal on service and new phones. I will not go into details but it was really worth it with the deals he threw in along with discounts. Just need to find a rep that wants to see you stay.
I did not upgrade my old sanyo 8100 yet as I have not decided which phone to go with. A PDA phone would be great but I do have a PDA and I am not sure I want to have that much access to the internet. It would be nice to have all that but a smaller phone that works may be more important than a hi tech bulky PDA phone.

Re: Sprint Cc
Your first post is correct. It was early in the morning, and I was confusing dualmode with triband.
What was the name of the rep you spoke to, and any idea where he was located?

Jason
Canada Atlantic Time Zone
I have his employee number but I do not want to get him in trouble but he spent over an hour on the phone with me getting things set up.

Re: Sprint Cc
I wasn't going to complain, I was just wondering if he works in the same center as I do.

Re: Sprint Cc
I really can't say, as it's against policy (I could get fired) for posting on these forums.

So, until we hear from him again, I'm going to close this thread to avoid any questions going unanswered. Feel free to start a new thread in the Sprint forum if you have any more questions, we'll do our best to help solve any problems. Now, this is a little tricky. I've split your post into a new thread and answered it there so I can close this thread without cutting you off.
Your new thread is (HERE).
