| The blinking green light is a status light. It basically tells you the phone is on and working. You can turn it off by going to: Menu>Settings>Display>Status Light It serves little purpose unless you lose your phone in the dark a lot. I turned mine off to conserve a little bit of battery juice.  Did you lose your user manual? You can download it Here. It took me over 2 months to get my partner to even open his, until I refused to answer any more phone questions for him and forced him to learn his own phone
