Hi all,

I am a City of New York Employee-I work for the Parks & Recreation agency of the City. I called Sprint/Nextel and they said that there must be a listing or a code for the agency in order for me to get this great discount? I am unsure of this and was trying to get my 25% plus a 5% loyalty discount (I haven't been with any other provider except Sprint ever).. this could really save me $$. I have my line and also a second line (my husbands) on my account.

Any ideas on what to do? I seem to be hitting a wall with them over the city employee discount.

I was thinking of asking them what I need to fax/send over to prove that I am eligible for the discount but not sure that it would work since I can provide pay stubs and city ID card for them to look at.

When i originally posted my question regarding Huntington I didn't have a work email address setup yet, but once I did I was able to find out they offered an 11% discount.
Got it all taken care of, & now save money on it.

Yes that was the number I called and they said I needed a node number- which I dont' know- supposedly City of NY employees can get a 25% discount.

Wow you would get a better dicount than I do. I am a 911 dispatcher in Michigan and I only get a 5% discount. As far as how you get the code.....check with your HR department they might know.

Okay after a bit of digging I got the information I needed - I just had to mention that I was a City of New York Employee -which is how they have it listed in their computer... I got my 25% off and I'm so happy - it's saving me like $30-$40 per month!

The discounts for Sprint only apply on the regular plans...they are not applying the discounts to the "everything" plans.

If you call *2 or 1-800-211-4727 from a landline, a customer care agent should be able to give you info on company discounts. just be sure to have the company name, company id, if possible, and a company email address and they can sign you up. if you are not sure of the info stated above, you can check with a manager or you human resources rep to get this info.

Hmm.. someone said that Cox employees get something like 23 or 24%. I'm a cox employee and only get 13%

What is the discount code I'm supposed to give them on the phone?

Do you have an cox employee web site?
if so an employee discount page with link to Sprint should be there with your dicount code.
