Just got Sprint with the MM-8300 phone. I'm new to cell phones and quickly realized this phone has way too many features that I'll never use. I'd just like an easy to use phone with a simple Address book to store often used numbers. Could someone recommend one that works with Sprint?

BTW,what does the PCS in Sprint PCS stand for and didn't they merge with Nextel? Thanks.

Well, the 8300 is an awesome phone! I'm sure you can get used to it... the PM-225 is a nice entry-level phone with a full-duplex speakerphone (that means you can both talk at the same time without drowning each other out) and if you want a really plain-jane flip phone this is it!

But honestly, your 8300 gets really good reception compared to some of the less expensive sprint models available and if you never use the phone's full potential you won't hurt its feelings. I'd recommend sticking with what you have, it's a well-built phone that will probably last you the duration of your new plan, and as long as you know how to use the phonebook there's no need to bother with those other features.

...if you still want to get a plain and simple phone, the Sprint Nokia models are all pretty decent.

Thanks, Brad729, I've decided to take your advice. I guess most people change their phones when the 2 year contracts with the carrier are up anyway.

Good deal! After one year of service, you can get a $75 rebate on a new phone and if you hold out for the full two years you can get a $150 rebate on your new phone. Glad I could help.
