I have a few questions as I look to upgrade from a Sanyo 8200.

First, as I have researched things, I see references to modes and bands - like "Tri-Mode" or "Quad-Band". Are modes and bands the same thing or different? And, other than being able to use a phone internationally, which I think the quad bands do, what is the advantage of a tri-band over a dual-band?

Now, my specific concern is to be able to have analog roaming because once a year I go to an area where that is all I can get on my present phone. I'm sure someday it will be upgraded to digital, but who knows when?

Finally, I'd appreciate any comments on specific phones. I've mostly been looking at the Samsung A920, though I've also considered tha A900.

I gather they don't have great battery life, though usually I'm not on the phone for extended periods, but add in some web access and games in situations where I'm just killing time and more is always better.

Anyway, I'd be interested in the pro and cons or other suggestion.

My primary concern is clarity. I think my present phone was never quite right (I just assumed a small phone had such problems, but apparently not). Anyway, while I wouldn't say voices are distorted, they aren't quite right either. Too often I have to ask for people to repeat themselves. I can't describe it very well though. This is when holding it like a normal phone up to your ear. I've never used headphones or the speaker phone.

Ability to pick up a signal would be next, I guess.

Finally, is there a way to transfer the address book and games on my old phone to a new one?
