As you all know by now (if you read my story in my sig) Sprint has been a horrible company for me, they have cheated me, lied and never tried once to make things right. That being said I wanted to share a few things I found out during my last visit to the Sprint store. I will itemise them for a quick and easy read.
Things I hate about Sprint
* They will re-new your contract without your approval (if you change your plan) without notifing you that the changes will result in this.
* You can add things to your plan without penalty but you will pay fee's and reset your contract if you remove things from your account, even if the things you are removing were not a part of the original contract.
* Customer service is not responsible for giving you trustworthy information, if a rep lies to you then Sprint will not review the recorded conversation and make things right, they will simply say it is your fault for not requesting paperwork and reading over it prior to agreeing over the phone, WTF!
* You can activate phones at the store but you cannot cancel service or contracts at the store, you can only add things though the store? This is a very suspicious business model.
* Customer service on average takes 45 minutes to an hour to get a human on the phone calling from "Washington State".
* Stores will claim they can only contact Sprint though the same methods you do dialing *2 on your phone which is another lie.
I hope this information is found to be helpful, all of my experiences have been at 4 Sprint stores thoughout the seattle area of Washingon state, all of my phone call customer service calls were made from Washington also.

Re: Sprint Customer Service (BEWARE)
I have no problem with CS. As a matter of fact if you dont take control of your account with them. They WILL walk all over you. Just a little FYI...

Re: Sprint Customer Service (BEWARE)
I absolutely agree with Barnacules.
They did the same thing to me about 3 years ago,
and from what I hear, they are no better today.
(Needless to say, I am not with them now).

Re: Sprint Customer Service (BEWARE)
Dude, we have been over this in past threads yet you don't seem to be able to read I'm Married and I am in the process of switching providers but must wait for 2 months since Sprint will charge me $300 if I go sign up under another providor before my contract ends even though there mistake is what extended my contract in the first place. Hopefully you get it after reading this for the 2nd or 3rd time hehehe And you are right, some people cannot be satisfied but fortunatly I am not one of them (I can be satisfied), Sprint has just not even tried or put forth an ounce of effort to make me satisfied.

Re: Sprint Customer Service (BEWARE)
I am currently with Cingular.
Not too bad, but I think all the phone companies
have to be watched with an eagle eye.
Have you heard Virgin is thinking about
not requiring contracts anymore?
I haven't confirmed that yet, but heard something
on the news about it.

Re: Sprint Customer Service (BEWARE)
If you are against giving any business to Sprint because of your past experiences and/or had issues with data/voice when using Sprint, I would suggest NOT signing up with:
Virgin Mobile
Boost Mobile
Helio
They all use our network for their voice/data services.
Just an FYI

Re: Sprint Customer Service (BEWARE)
Well, I just got a collection notice from an out of state agency for a sprint bill; which is interesting as I have never been a customer of theirs. I do cell business with only local companies. To have them sic a collection agency on me, then have to go through all the hassle of dealing with that, does not endear to me to *ever* be a customer of theirs.

Re: Sprint Customer Service (BEWARE)
Well looks like you can switch, and not worry about Sprint anymore. I'm sure we will see you in the near future about your current carrier, and how to get out of the contract. Sprint doesn't extend contracts anymore unless you get a new phone.

Re: Sprint Customer Service (BEWARE)
Wrong, I'm with AT&T now and they are great. They gave me a trial period, my first bill was exactly to the penny how much they said it would be. Also contacting customer service takes less then 5 minutes and they are very happy to help. Also I have rollover minutes, Woo Hoo. Screw Sprint.
