Bought a new phone from and individual today, and I have sprint. I was trying to find out if I can switch the service to the new phone myself, or do I have to contact sprint? Thanks everyone

You'll have to call so they can give you the codes to program your new phone.

Even if you had the codes, you'd still have to call them so they can put the ESN in the system.

If you have an unlocked phone that uses CDMA networks, you just need to call them to get it to work.
