How Long Does It Take For You Do an
ESN Check?
I recently had to order a shipment of used cell phones from an Ebay store. The store was called Lots of Cell Phones, but that's not the point. The point is that my paranoid boss had me check the ESNs on the phone individually and I had to call Sprint Customer Service instead of using chat to do that because apparently you're only entitled to doing two or so checks per chat session. (Don't know if that's an official rule or just the rep being a jerk).
Anyways, it took me about 8 minutes to get a hold of someone on customer service and they usually let you check about 4 to 5 ESNs before they give you attitude and you have to reconnect and hope you get another rep to do the whole thing over again. So I can say it takes one 15 minute session to check 5 ESNs. Therefore, on my average, I can check about 20 or so ESNs per hour.
So how long does it take for you guys?
