What phone(s) can I use with my SERO plan?

I'm in the USCG and am on a patrol boat on a reg basis. I currently have an HTC Pro. It's a great phone but it will never hold up tot he abuse I put all of my phones through. I need something a bit more rugged.

My needs:
Check email.
Check weather radar.
Make /recieve phone calls.

What do you recomend?

Wow, this is a tough one, Sprint's line up of phones as well as other carrier's line up does not include rugged phones, you might be able to switch over to Nextel along with your sero plan, now they have what you're looking for if it's a rugged device you need, i recently switched the drivers at work to the i576 which is a Rugged Design Certified to Military Standard 810F for dust, shock, vibration, temperature extremes, blowing rain, humidity, low pressure and solar radiation.

Sprint - Define Region

Check out the Motorola Renegade. I believe it can be used on Sprint (CDMA). It's not a smartphone, but it does fit the rugged bill; otherwise, Nextel is your best bet.

With SERO you can use any phone except the Pre and Instinct. The Hero is a question mark at this time.

The OP is aware that he can use any Sprint compatible phone with his Sero plan, his question is if there is a more rugged one for his needs.
