HTC windows based phone is the most versatile platform at this time if you use your phone for a lot especially for business purposes. Make sure you get the new windows 6.5 or an upgradeable phone, I also have a PRE which is a sweet phone with some limitations, Blackberry and android I personally do not have any experience with.

It really depends on your needs. If you need email, all of the time, go with the blackberry. If you need a well rounded business phone that is good at most things, go with the Touch Pro2. If you want a lot of app and widgets, go with the Hero. If you need a physical keyboard, don't go with the Hero. It's really up to how you are going to use your phone.

I would go with the HTC Hero. I am extremely pleased with mine. I don't like Blackberries and the Palm Pre just felt cheap and unresponsive.

Re: Switching to Sprint Which phone to get?
I have had the CDMA hero for about three weeks now. And while this is my first smart/ touchscreen phone, I can say I am pleased with it, and co-workers with similar devices like mine better... even one dude with a broken screen iphone anyway, even not having a physical keyboard like the Pre, it is still nice, the virtual one is good and predicts fairly accurately, although I am still getting used to it. It does suck when typing into a google search field because it will not auto correct there. I have spent some time with the pre as well its really really nice as well but its not really that masculine IMO if that is important to you.
