I've researched far and wide and have not found a solution to my problem. I'm a few months away from being a 10-year loyalty customer. I have a treo 800w and pay about $58 a month for unlimited data, text, etc. (with a credit union discount and loyalty discount). I've been hoping to get a Palm Pre when my plan comes up for renewal on 12/1, but I don't want to lose all the freebies I've accumulated to date. I don't have an employer discount (I work for a small firm). Can anyone give me any advice on how to proceed?
Thank you!

Re: Get a Pre without losing Retention Deal
First you did not say if you are still under contract or how many minuets your current plan has or if it's a SERO plan. Bottom line is you need to get an everything plan - no exceptions. Once you change plans you cannot go back so make sure this is what you want to do! Next you will keep your loyalty and plan discounts.
If you do not want to use your new phone discount go on ebay and purchase a used phone for around $200 (that's what I did) or a new inbox phone for around $300.
Please be sure that any used phone has a clean ESN (which can be confirmed by Sprint) before purchase!
Here is the current prices listed on the website but I have seen a plan advertised on tv for $42.50 a month?

Re: Get a Pre without losing Retention Deal
Well this is interesting. I was thinking about a pre but if I have to change my plan forget it.

Re: Get a Pre without losing Retention Deal
The Pre, the Instinct, and a couple other phones will not work AT ALL unless they are on an everything data plan, which sprint has for much much cheaper than any major service provider.

Re: Get a Pre without losing Retention Deal
you can't get a PRE without being on Everything Data or Simply Everything.. unfortunately, there's no way around it.
