Which is better a BBERRY or Android phone for Sprint? My wife wants to throw the treo out and upgrade but undecided between these 2.

I like the Android phones myself.. but I think its personal preference. I just like the user interface that the android phones have over the BBerry phones. I would recomand you take your wife into the sprint store and let her play with both kinds of phones and let her pick the one she likes more.

If you want simplicity, battery life, and reliability I would definitely so with the blackberry. It also has a much better UI for business users if that is what you are going to use it for. Android can prove difficult for some people that are new to the UI and it is more for multimedia than business use. So really it is more what you are going to use it for. I myself have a BlackBerry 8330 (VZW) and I love it!! I am switching to the new Epic 4G from Sprint when it comes out only because I am a college student and have no need for the business features of my BlackBerry at the time. But this is the beauty of cell phone....you always have a choice!!

If you are looking for a phone that you want to hang on for a couple of years, I would say get an android.

You gotta love when people answer you without reasons on here huh?

In the long run Android is going to be the better phone OS but for the time being I would say that it is still too new to trust. It is power hungry and still has some bugs that need to be worked out. At least wait for Android 3.0 to drop and then we will see how far they have come with this groundbreaking new mobile OS. For now I say Blackberry for at least the time being unless you are into the new experimenting crowd but for business use and reliability you can't beat a BlackBerry.

Karma_II You already mentioned most of the pros and cons of using a blackberry and android OS previously so I reckon a vote of confidence should suffice
