A large # of Samsung Intercepts (I know the exact # but cannot post it) received a faulty update from Sprint/Samsung today.
Q- Why would a Saturday update come out?
A- Special Intercept pricing is coming out on Sunday...(can't post here)- check their site after midnight.
What happened?
The update was pushed through to the phones, effectively bricking them.
The calls went out all day over this one folks and I'm sorry to say... its a brick.
Under 200,000 units were effected. (Limited # of peeps know exact #, so I can't devulge without narrowing my identity)
The fix: sorry none- take it to a service and repair center and they will force load the operating system again (if store has this computer option)
OR
They will replace it with another Intercept.
Sorry folks, this won't get you into an alternate model.
More to come, the old magic tricks f holding volume down, power, etc does not resolve this.
Bricked.
