Re: Sprint 4G coverage & Speed test
OK, My Sprint Overdrive Pro jumped out of the window and took a dump.
Got a replacement from Asurion ($50 one time fee)
Also because I am such a wonderful Sprint customer, I got free overnight shipping.
Now, the replacement unit is all set up, upgraded software, and look at my speed test now!!!
4g only, 3 bars, 77032 (BUSH IAH Airport)

Re: Sprint 4G coverage & Speed test
Just use a phone hotspot (either paid, or rooted
) I happen to have a Nexus that never received an update (unrooted)... meaning its hotspot is free due to a glitch
The cell phones are all still unlimited (my overdrive pro also took a dump, the battery overheated all the time and popped the battery cover off, I decided to save some cash and cxl it and just use my phone.
Any androd phone can use an app like pdanet - one time fee, and at least tether, thats what I did before my nexus.
Good luck.

Re: Sprint 4G coverage & Speed test
I used Overdrive Pro Hotspot with the battery removed.
Since then it never overheated or crashed.
The 4G speed was good, even at 2-3 bars sig strength.
I have used PDAnet as a last resort, for a few years.
Don't remember any fee.
My HTC EVO 4G (Gingerbread), can't root yet
