Re: Straight Talk APN settings & how to change them for Android phones
Ok I adjusted my APN settings per guide above and I also tried one off the straight talk website. Now I can get on my browser, make calls, receive calls and SEND text but I cannot receive text or send picture mail?

The phone is a samsung note1 for at&t. I can send sms (I confirmed they are going through) but I am not recieving incoming sms(even though senders phone is saying sent and not showing any sending errors). I am not able to send or recieve any mms messages. I am however able to use the browser. I. Actually on it right now. I'm kind of lost. I called straight talk and nothin is working. I forgot to mention this but when I first turned the phone on ONE and only one sms did come through. After that nothing. Thanks for your repl and help

Re: Straight Talk APN settings & how to change them for Android phones
I'm happy to post everything is up and running as it should.
After trying the apn settings above and the ones from straigh talks
Website I was still having problems. So I talked to a cell techie and they had me enter the settings from straigt talks site, save them, check the radio light telling my phone to use them (instead of default settings) then with the phone still on remove the battery and wait one minute. And sure enough it worked first time.
Now I have two questions.
1. What is the difference between the settings above and the ones on straight talks site?
2. Could it benifit me in any way to try them with the procedure that worked for me?

Re: Straight Talk APN settings & how to change them for Android phones
thanks for the update - I actually updated the settings above. At some point in the past couple months they changed what the settings were. Both probably still work, but I'm guessing that the ones on their site are going through the 'newest' channels.

My phone has a setting called "APN type" & a lot of other settings not listed :/

Re: Straight Talk APN settings & how to change them for Android phones
If it's not listed don't touch it, you might mess it up if you do and then you might have to take it to geek squad for them to fix it. i only changed the settings as directions provided since the small booklet that i got with the phone never said how to or what to do.
