verizon s4 mini compatible?

I purchased a samsung mini s4 after straight talks compatibility page gave me the congratulations screen that the phone would work. Now that I am trying to complete the transaction it is now telling me it wont work in my area. This is a 4g lte phone and has a sim card in it from the previous owner. Is there anything I can do to use this phone with my straight talk account. I am assuming it is locked to the number that is in the sim card. The meid is 990004420879888 and my zip code is 45387. On their web site you can purchase a s4 full size phone which is also a 4g lte phone.

Edit - sorry, for some reason I thought you said Verizon. The phone probably will need to be unlocked and the ASN settings changed. If you can't change the ASN settings, then it may need to be rooted.

sounds like more then what I know how to do. I still need to uses verizon towers due to my location the other carriers do not work well. I have an older droid x2 phone on straight talk using verizon towers that works well service wise but the processor is freezing up and the lags are terrible. At times when I push the dial button it might take as long as a minute plus before it makes the call. I went to verizon today and talked with them and was told that straight talk uses verizons older towers and doesnt have access to the latest 4g lte towers. sounds as if straight talk is less expensive for a reason.

ah okay, I know ST uses different towers depending on where you are located. It's rarer that they use Verizon towers, but in your case you would need a phone with a CDMA antenna and originally for Verizon.
