Changing from ATT to T-Mobile

I currently have ATT GSM on a NEC 525 phone and it sucks. I travel throughout Jersey for my job and i do alot of my work in wooded areas. I can't get reception in these areas right now. I can't even get reception around a 20 block radius near my house(big city)My wife has T-mobile on a 3595 phone and she gets reception everywhere,so i want to switch but ATT will charge me $175 cancelation fee. Is there a way T-mobil will take care of this fee in return for me signing an extended service agreement with them? or am i dreaming :-)

T-Mobile sucks too! Same problem with reception. Always dropping calls. And when you try to make calls, they're failed calls. It's really terrible. I am very disappointed with T-Mobiles services. I'm really going to go back to Sprint. They are the best to me. No reception problems. Never had those issues with them. I don't recommend T-Mobile to anybody. They need to rectify their problem with so many failed calls, dropped calls and very poor reception.

t-mobile has excellent reception in jersey, as far as paying your cancellation fee im not sure, but they can compensate you to try and counter balance that, and labettyboop, sprint is older, weaker technology and to get the best reception with sprint and not t-mobile you must be living in a rural area, because t-mobile has beat sprint in every area they competed against except the most rural areas, as stated in consumer reports

I'm going to check with them. I just got a call the other day from a T-mobil rep but i said i wasn't interested and hung up. I get so many telemarketers and i was just pissed, but i should have asked him about it. I'm going to talk to a rep and see what he can do for me. If i just knew of someone who SAID T-mobil was good without seeing it for myself,i wouldn't believe it,but my wife has T-mobil for a long time. The service was actually under my name when they were Omnipoint and then she switched it to her name so she could .... Well,ok we learn something new every day :-) My wife just told me it's still under my name, and she just added her name on so she could make changes. I didn't even know that.... Anyway,We are with each other most of the time, and i use her phone and reception is great. She gets reception everywhere, even up my fathers 77acre country house out in the middle of nowhere. No other services worked out there. We didn't try Nextel but all others didn't work at all. I gotta talk to them. thanks
