Data Cables

Does anyone have any experience with data cables? Are they worth it? Where is a good place to buy them (I saw them at Radio Shack for $23)?

Data cables in comparison to what?

DC's have many benefits - the best being they dont drain your battery power where as IR or bluetooth will. Its more stable too.
You can buy from many places - ive been using Cell-Savers good prices - cheaper than almost everywhere and deliver worldwide too.

Most of the software that you would need is free, as for the data cable if you bought one at radio crack and then looked on e-bay you'd shoot yourself. You can get one on e-bay for as low as .25 american, that's a deal.

Where can I get the "free" software? The software at radio shack costs upwards of $45.
