Porting number from Sprint to T-mobile

Hi,

I ported my number from Sprint to tmobile today with two days left in my contract. My question is, when do the carriers consider charging the early termination fees? Is it after I have closed my service with Sprint or as soon as the number is ported?

I did not think that the number would be ported so soon (took about half an hour). I was also under the impression that I would still be under the Sprint contract till I activated my cell phone with ported number on t-mobile?

that what im thinking to. you should do that a day after your contract has xpire.

When you port the number, your Sprint account will be close without you having to call them and informing them. Might want to call and find out if they did charge you a fee. You should be able to get around it if they did with some sweet talking.
