I've been a T-mobile customer for about 2 years. I've been able to use my phone in and around my home with great reception. About 2 months ago, I lost all reception in my home. If I get one bar, I'm lucky. It consistantly says 'searching'; I cannot make or recieve calls, or retrieve my voicemail. I have contacted T-Mobile about this problem for two months now, and they keep telling me it's a 'temporary' problem, and their technicians are notified about it. I primarily use my phone in my home (I hardly use it outside of it), and I'm still paying monthly for a phone I cannot even use. They said they gave me 100 free minutes for my incovenience (which are up in 90 days), but if I can't use my phone it's pretty useless.

So my question is: Is this just a T-Mobie problem? If I get another provider (I believe Verizon has some towers near by), should my reception improve? Or will this happen no matter who I switch too? (I live in Hackensack, NJ if this helps any).

Ugh, this is just getting really frustrating. Thanks for your help!

For East Coast/New England, Verizon is generally the best.

I am having the same problem with my Razr... I have to hunt for a bar in my house, most of the time i have to go to the parking lot make a phone call, when my GF calls me from NY she emails me with the time she will call me so i can wait for the phone call outside my house... This really sucks, and I'm stuck with a contract....

We should start a club called no service no bill... I live in sin city and have had the same problem, though I think its the phone but I got the same excuses... why should we pay for a bill if the phone works only half the time or not at all... yet they expect prompt payment every month...
