Yes, there are alot of text message thread, but none answer my question. I have the 400 message plan. My question is, if I receive a message, will my messages go down to 399? If im talking with a friend repeatedly, are my messages being used for everytime i send and receive a message?
Im askin because you arent given a chance to accept or decline a message, so if someone is to messages you over and over, you bill is increasing. If someone sends you pics, u'r gonna have to pay even more.
Oh, and now that i do have my massage plan, can I email myself some wallpapers without worrying about some type of additional charge?

you're charge for incoming and outgoing text messages, messages to your own phone are charged as an outgoing message.

Yes, the text message feature offered are for incoming & outgoing text/instant/email messages, unfortunately the un-wanted incoming messages is a international prob with Japan leading the way, you are not given the option ro refuse an incoming text message it is so important to give your moble number sparingly, once you provide the number for an online sale, SMS promo or an ex gets it there's not a lot that can be done other than to change you mobile number

That's ture for the 6101 and a couple of other Nokia's, although I believe the operators are not yet enforcing OPT IN to read messages. It's a bit of a pain, but it's good SPAM control. In Canada, Rogers will send you a message first telling you that you have an incoming message and asking you to reply with READ if you want to read it.. otherwise you can opt to delete it right there and it won't affect your message count. It's only a matter of time before other carriers internationally adopt the same level of SPAM control and rogue SMS's

The T-Mobile 400 message plan, however, includes ANY kind of message. So you are not charged extra for sending a picture or recieving a picture. The same goes for video messages. Instead of sending the same picture over and over and over, send it "My Album." My Album is an online collection of all your pictures. You can allow your friends to visit your personal album and view the pictures. This is free. Each picture you send to your album will deduct 1 message from your 400 however. If you are not able to see "My Album" on your phone, the default number to send a picture to your album is 222.
