Well, if you weren't paying for insurance, then you will need to purchase a new phone full price. If are willing to purchase one online you can look for any T-Mobile or unlocked phone. That may be the cheapest way out.

Id most likely have to say, i would pay full price for a brand new phone rather than searching on ebay and other auction sites. Your better off paying for a hole new phone. Also, im not too sure how Tmobile works ( chris would know better than I ) but with Sprint, i had 30 days to get insurance on my phone and after that, im on my own. Luckily, i did get insurance on my phone ( never did in the past, never had a reason too, im very careful of my phone(s).
Tmobile, IF im not mistaken, when i went to get my sidekick Jan 29th.. They offered my Insurance and i BELIEVE the rep said i had 14 days to get it. So, of corse i got it. In cases like yours, its TOTALLY worth it cause i only pay 100 for a new sidekick! Beats paying 399.00!
So your best bet is to just go and buy a whole new phone for full retail ( new sim will be included as well ) AND ask about insurance. Hopefully, if you let them know you want it and try to convince them of how much you need it and think it will benefit you in the end, maybe they will accomadate u and give you insurance.. That is IF you want insurance..R.i.P MB.LD.AA

As you have found out, insurance is the way to go, if there is any chance you might lose your phone. Otherwise, the warranty will help if the phone is defective, but losing or having it stolen, it's all on your to replace it.
Where ever you get your new phone, check with your home owners or renters insurance, to see if it will be covered if lost, damaged or stolen. Then decide if it's worth paying the cell phone insurance if you buy the phone from a T-Mobile dealer.

Its absalutely worth paying the 5.99 a month for insurnce! absalutely! I was never one for insurance until i got my Sanyo 8200 with Sprint. I realized it was much better to pay the insurance, rather than paying the ENTIRE price of the phone incase of an accident ( getting lost or stolen ). I had 30 days from my activation date to register for insurance and after that, i couldnt get it. So, yeah, moral of my story, GET INSURANCE!!!!!!!!!!

You cannot purchase insurance for any phone bought on ebay. There is just no way to prove to T-Mobile the condition of the phone, even if it is listed as brand new.
