Hello! First post so please go easy on me.. I browsed around trying to find an answer to my question but had no luck so here goes.
I have a nice cingular sony ericsson phone and recently switched to t-mobile. My new tmobile phone was in a tragic liquid related accident and no longer works. i was able to put my sim card into a cheap crappy cingular phone and it works. Problem is, i want to use my t-mobile sim card in my nice sony ericsson phone BUT it says invalid sim or something along the lines of that.
What can i do?

I'm sure a tmobile rep can give you another sim card if you asked for one?

brittney, I'm sure you can get your nice camera phone to read the T-Mobile sim card, you just have to get your phone "unlocked." The first thing I would do is call Cingular and ask them for the unlock code. They may be able to email instructions to you on how to unlock it. If they can't do that, try taking a trip to the mall and visiting some kiosks to see if they know how to unlock your phone. Also, try going through the yellow pages and calling "mom and pop" cell phone shops to see if they unlock phones. Once your phone is unlocked, it will read your t-mobile sim card.

Also call Tmobile. They might be able to unlock it for you if they have the same model and you have been with them for 90 days. That probably is a longshot and probably wont work, but it is worth a try. I have heard that Tmobile has recently stopped unlocking Cingular phones. You can also do a google search for help on unlocking your phone.
Once you get the phone unlocked, though, configure it for SMS, MMS, and Data to take advantage of all the fun stuff your camera phone can do. http://tmobileus.wdsglobal.com/phonefirst
