I checked the coverage map on their site and it looks like it'd be perfect in my area (16335) but when I used to work at Staples and we carried Sprint, the maps we had were WAY off, hence my questioning despite looking at their coverage maps.
The only other thing that I can think of now is this... I want a phone with a decent qwerty keyboard, FULL internet access not WAP, good texting, AIM use, and decent phone service. Would this be maybe what I am looking for? |
As far as I know, yes, the Sidekick 2 is only available to T-mobile. If you find a unlock phone, it might work with Cingular but you might miss few extra things for it.
And yes, it have all that stuff you are asking for but I will say wait until the Sidekick 3 comes out because there will be some improvements to it.
If you going to use it for business, take a look at Blackberry also.
If you don't mind spending $10 more per month, I might also take a look at MDA (Windows Mobile Cell Phone) and few other cell phones.
I have Sidekick 2 right now. I am happy with it but I was hoping it can do more though. Here's my pros and cons of it.
PRO -
It's almost like a
PDA. It have a note pad, celender, to do list, address book, etc.
I have access to the Internet.
I look at the maps and directions.
I could take a look at the yellow pages.
Good selection of games to download.
CON -
There are some websites that will not work on the Sidekick 2. For example, Flash, videos, etc.
The web page is crunch into a small screen.
It can not be connected to the computer to be used as a modem.
Needs nore work on the Javascript and memory.
OVERALL -
Out of 5 stars, I give it 3 stars.
