It is said in law that a person cannot sign one's legal rights away in a contract. Cingular and Verizon are facing class-action lawsuits because of alleged bait-and-switch tactics:

The article notes that carriers are trying to get federal protection from such litigation. Good luck on that.

But T-Mobile has a stipulation that a customer must sign in which there is an agreement not to participate in such a lawsuit -- and to take on a large corporation single-handedly instead. Is this iron-clad?
