I was told that I would be able to access the numbers from my phone for 24 hours after I switched carriers. 12 hours later I can't access any of my phone numbers from my sim card nor any from the phones memory. Is there a program or something that I can use to retrieve these phone numbers off of my sim card?...or am I screwed? It's a t-mobile (Sharp tm150). Is there a program on the computer that could get these phone numbers?

    Howdy innvertigo,

Which carrier did you go from? And which carrier did you move to?

Did the new carrier give you a NEW SIM card? And the NEW SIM card is in the phone correct?

If the numbers are already in the phone and on the SIM card, sounds like the service has not been switched yet. If the Service has been switched and you still have the OLD SIM card in the phone, that would be your problem.

What you will want to do anyway, is any phone numbers on your OLD sim that are NOT in the phone's memory, you will want to copy those to the phone's memory, BEFORE you put the NEW carrier's SIM card into the phone.

Re: My phone numbers are gone.

    Thanks for the replys,

Unfortunatly I went from the T-mobile phone with a sim card to a verizon phone with a mini SD (if that makes sense). T-mobile was absolutly no help when I called them up. I realize that I can transfer info from card to card, however the phone that I paid for through t-mobile will only turn on and is basically useless. I can't even look at pictures that I had stored on thos e phones once they switched my service. In the past my other phones would still operate the same without being able to call since i didn't have their service anymore....to make a long story short, verizon said if I bring in the phone they should be able to extract the numbers. T-mobile was absolutly useless throughout the whole contract and couldn't solve the problems during and after the contract had ended. I will ver go back to them, not to mention the verizon contract was cheaper if you can believe that.

Sorry about the issue your having, but do not blame T-Mobile for not being able to do something that VERIZON promised you. If you would have asked me, "How can I get my numbers from my T-Mobile phone onto my Verizon phone?"
I would have been honest with you and told you that you basically have to copy them individually. Seems like you were promised something, and it played a role in you choosing to leave a great company like T-Mobile. Also, I honestly do not believe that you got a cheaper plan with Verizon. For that to be true, you either went down in minutes or in the types of services included in your plan. I am confident that we have a similar plan to what you now have with Verizon and that ours is less expensive. Not to mention, when you change or upgrade phones at T-Mobile, keeping your old phone numbers is not an issue.
T-Mobile has been ranked #1 for customer service for the past 3 years. If you left because of something we could not effectively fix then you are about to see that every cell phone company has issues. You're already having one with your new company. No company is perfect, and though we try to do all we can, sometimes customers ask for things that simply cannot be done immediately or even at all.
Customers come and go, it happens everyday. Today, for instance, a customers battery was dead so she walked in expecting to get a new one for free. Not only do we not "just" give away batteries, but we we're out of stock of that particular battery...it happens...things run out. The customer got mad and wanted to know when her contract ended, then said she was going to cancel it, as if I was intentionaly denying her a battery. As if my store is the ONLY store that has batteries. Venting on it, if that lady wants to leave T-Mobile over one store being out of batteries, then she has no clue that we offer the most minutes, most value, and most features the people actually use for less money anyone else.
So she leaves, and mark my words the next person that walked came from a U.S. Cellular store and switched his service to T-Mobile, claiming that U.S. Cellular wanted him to pay for a new phone because he broke his old one. I was honest with him and told him that our customers must also pay to replace broken phones. I explained how our phone warranty works, which he understood, and still switched to T-Mobile.
