I need help

I`ve a Motorola V235 which was sent to me from Canada as a gift.The most unfortunate thing,it is locked with fido software,and no one in Barbados can help me with it. I `ve no options, but to returned it to canada,in order for it to be used in Barbados.
I`ll appreciate hearing from anyone, in conjunction about this Cell Phone.
I put in *#06# and the IME number came up. that`s as far as I got.

If Fido and your provider are both GSM and the phone supports the same bandwidths as your service provider in Barbados, then you should be able to unlock it. Try to Google it.
