I've seen and heard some rumors that TMo will be increasing text messaging rates to fifteen cents on June 1st. Might be time to look into a bundled pricing option if you don't have one.

Re: Rumor - Text Message Rates to Increase June 1st
This is no rumor, there is now an addendum to the contract one must sign when activating or upgrading. It outlines specifically that sms fees will be moving to 15 cents and mms fees will be DROPPING to 15 cents....it is required to sign or we are being told not to process the transaction.

Arigold is this going to be one of those instances where one can bail out of one's contract since T-Mobile is ammending it?

Interestingly enough, T-mobile is going to try and avoid that issue. All upgrades and activations whether online or in the store have to sign/agree to an addendum to the current contract which advises customers of these new rates. I'll give the contract a thorough look over tomorrow and see if it leaves room for those to exit a contract if a material change takes place. I can admit I have not looked over it even after hearing about the changes the other carriers made.
I'll report back tomorrow evening.
