Hi I need to buy an International Phone Card to call Australia and see heaps online that seem great and say they will work on a cell phone. However T-Mobile support says they will still somehow charge you the global call rate.
Does anyone know a card that will definitely work on a t-mobile cell wothout the charges?
Thanks,
Chris

Pick up the cheapest AT&T calling card in Wal-Mart and make a test call, then check your bill online to see what it costs.

I dont have any particular card in mind but my family usually calls China from US and Tmobile doesnt charge us if we use a calling card. I cant imagine any international charges except for regular minutes.

If your calling an 800 number or something that is Inside of your calling area to access the Calling Card service, there is no way T-Mobile would know if your call China, Australia, or wherever.

Of course, because you are just calling an 800 number or US number, you'll use your mobile minutes. I do that all the time for calling international numbers, I use Onesuite prepaid calling card service to call overseas. I dial their access number, then the destination number.
You may want to call on weekends so you don't use up your mobile minutes for calling the calling card access number.

Yes using a calling card for international calls will not charge your mobile phone except for your cell phone minutes.
I do this all the time with my Onesuite calling card. I also do most of my overseas calls on weekends so I don't use up my mobile minutes on my T-mobile.
