My Faves Phone Question

I have a family plan and one of my phones just died. A friend offered to give me a Samsung T209 My Faves phone they were no longer using. Will I be able to use it even though I don't have a My Faves plan?

Yes it will work. The only different between a My Faves phone and a non My Faves phone is the Java applacation which lets you access your My Faves contacts form the phone. You can have a My Faves plan w/out a My Faves phone.
