There seems to be different coverage for a T-Mobile plan and prepaid T-Mobile. One of the areas of difference is very important for me. Should I be able to get a SIM card from a company local to that area that will provide prepaid service there?

There is an area that isn't covered on the T-Mobile prepaid map, but is on the T-Mobile postpaid map as a roaming area. It isn't on AT&T's map at all. Should I be able to get a SIM card for whatever local company it is that has GSM service in that area?

Woow..this is so crazy. I always thought that carriers make their own prepaid services and use the SAME coverage. guess not.

Word, seems very strange to let their prepaid customers use a limited version of their network. Quite smart though, but if they'd want to profit from it they would'nt hide it.
