Hi, my question is this, is it possible at all to track the realtime location of a cellphone based solely on its phonenumber?

Some background on why i need this, since it most likely seems odd..

I have been in a relationship with someone very close to me for almost 6 months now, two days ago, she disappeared. Vanished. Now, i have been to the police, but as waiting is probably the worst thing imaginable, i am taking this matter into my own hands. I received a single text from this someone yesterday, and am determined to find her.

I need to know if this is at all possible. Could T-mobile track this number to its realtime location for me, she also has a t-mobile phone/plan.

I really have no idea what else to do.
